Have you ever considered how people lose money in the marketplace and innocent individuals become victims of deception?
Once, a man announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for 100 rupees each. Hearing this, all the villagers rushed towards the nearby forest to catch monkeys and sell them to the man for 100 rupees apiece.
After a few days, when the initial excitement subsided, the man increased the price of each monkey to 200 rupees. Once again, the villagers went out hunting for monkeys.
But soon, this scheme also lost its appeal, and people's interest waned. The man then announced that he would pay 500 rupees for each monkey. However, since he had to go to the city, he appointed an assistant for this task.
Hearing the offer of 500 rupees, the villagers were disappointed because most of the monkeys had already been caught. Therefore, they couldn't find more monkeys to sell.
At this time, the assistant approached them and said, "If you wish, you can buy the monkeys from me at 400 rupees each from the cages. When the owner returns, you can resell them to him for 500 rupees each."
