AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj attacked the BJP government in Delhi over decisions such as the seizure of old vehicles and artificial rain during the monsoon. He called these decisions impractical and demanded accountability.
Delhi News: The Aam Aadmi Party has bly reacted to the BJP government's decision regarding the seizure of old vehicles in Delhi. Senior party leader and Delhi Pradesh President Saurabh Bhardwaj, terming it impractical, said that it would create a situation of conflict between petrol pump employees and vehicle owners. He questioned whether this was the only way to remove old vehicles. Involving petrol pumps in this task is a wrong decision from an administrative perspective.
BJP is running the government like Phulera's Panchayat: Bhardwaj
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the BJP government in Delhi is running the state not like a serious capital, but like Phulera's Panchayat. He said that such decisions are against the administrative dignity of Delhi and there is a huge lack of practicality in them. He said that the BJP neither knows how to run a government, nor does it have an understanding of public interest.
Decision on artificial rain during monsoon also questioned
Amid the ongoing monsoon in Delhi, the government's plan to conduct artificial rain is also under the opposition's scrutiny. Saurabh Bhardwaj questioned why a pilot project for artificial rain is being brought in when it is already raining continuously in the capital. He called it an illogical and impractical decision. He said that such schemes are a waste of the common people's tax money and it reflects a wrong understanding of Delhi's administrative priorities.
Objection raised over the repair of potholes as well
The Aam Aadmi Party also targeted the BJP government over the repair of potholes on Delhi's roads. Bhardwaj said that the government has only made a show of filling small potholes, while large and dangerous potholes have been ignored. He alleged that the government is only doing superficial work and no concrete work is being done on the ground.
Questions raised while comparing with the Kejriwal government
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that when the Aam Aadmi Party took power after the Sheila Dikshit government, there was never any work of blaming the previous government. He said that the Kejriwal government accepted the circumstances, respected the mandate and worked for the people. In contrast, the BJP government is making excuses and wasting its time blaming Arvind Kejriwal.
Questions on the assault on an IAS officer
Saurabh Bhardwaj also raised questions regarding the alleged assault on an IAS officer in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He said that when the IAS Association and BJP leaders had cornered the AAP government over the Anshu Prakash case in Delhi, why are they all silent now? He asked whether the IAS Association would go on strike across the country or if it was just a political agenda.
