Bihar Lab Technician Bharti 2025: Great news for young job seekers in the health sector from the Bihar government. The State Health Society (SHS) has initiated the recruitment process for Lab Technician and Senior Lab Technician positions. A total of 1075 vacancies will be filled, with 1068 posts reserved for Laboratory Technicians and 7 for Senior Laboratory Technicians. Educational Qualification and Age Limit
For Laboratory Technician post
Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Additionally, a BMLT (Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology) or DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) is essential.
For Senior Laboratory Technician post
Candidates must possess an M.Sc. degree in (Medical Microbiology, Applied Microbiology, General Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry). Furthermore, 2 to 3 years of experience in TB lab testing, such as Genotypic and Phenotypic tests, is required.
Additionally, candidates with a B.Sc. degree in (Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Life Science, Botany, Zoology) can also apply, provided they hold a DMLT and have experience in relevant lab testing.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 and 37 years of age. Reserved category and female candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules. The age will be calculated as of August 1, 2025.
Application Fee
The application fee for General, EWS, Extremely Backward Class, Backward Class, and candidates from outside the state has been fixed at Rs. 500. However, for SC, ST, PwD, and all female candidates from Bihar, the fee is Rs. 125.

A total of 1075 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment. Of these, 1068 posts are for Laboratory Technicians and 7 posts are for Senior Laboratory Technicians.
