Initial suspicions in some cases suggested dog bites. However, family members have stated that none of the deceased had been bitten by a dog in recent days. They have alleged that all had consumed liquor from the same location, following which their condition worsened.
Statement by Deceased’s Father
The father of one deceased person said wedding preparations were underway in the family and his son was completely healthy until the tilak ceremony. The next day, his condition suddenly worsened. “Someone said he might have been bitten by a dog, but that did not happen. We suspect the liquor was poisonous,” he said.
