In particular, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Eastern Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh are expected to receive rainfall between August 22 and 26. Western Rajasthan is also likely to experience heavy rainfall on August 23 and 24. The Meteorological Department has advised people living in these areas to be vigilant and prepare for flood-like situations.
There is a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in the southern and south-eastern parts of Rajasthan in the next three to four days. At the same time, rain is also expected in the Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan between August 22 and 29.

According to the Meteorological Department, many parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh may experience heavy rainfall for the next seven days. In particular, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, and Mizoram are likely to receive extremely heavy rainfall between August 22 and 24. In addition, there is a risk of very heavy rainfall in Assam and Meghalaya on August 22 and 23.
