Heavy rain is also expected in many districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Delhi-NCR Weather Update

Delhi-NCR experienced light rainfall in several areas since yesterday morning. This has brought some relief from the humid heat. The Meteorological Department predicts light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in Delhi-NCR on August 25th. The temperature will be 2 to 4 degrees below normal.

Rain Alert in Uttar Pradesh

The weather has become pleasant in Uttar Pradesh due to the rain for the last two days. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in the state. However, the rain may subside for a few days. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall again in the state on August 29th and 30th.

Monsoon Active in Bihar

Monsoon activity continues in Bihar. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in approximately 20 districts, including the capital Patna, Gaya, Aurangabad, Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur, Rohtas, Jehanabad, Arwal, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Jamui, Munger, Banka, Bhagalpur, and Khagaria. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning in the state for the next few days.

Threat of Destruction in Uttarakhand

Heavy rains have caused major destruction in Uttarakhand this time. On Thursday, heavy rains caused debris to fall from the hills, blocking the flow of the river, which created a temporary lake. Continuous rain is occurring in many areas of the state. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at several places on August 25th. There is a possibility of landslides in Bageshwar, Rudraprayag, Tehri, and Uttarkashi districts.

Rain Warning in Himachal Pradesh

A heavy rain alert has been issued in Himachal Pradesh from August 24th. Heavy rain is possible in Jammu, Kathua, Mandi, Shimla and Pathankot districts. The Meteorological Department has also warned of rising water levels in some rivers.

Weather in Central and Eastern India

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at many places in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha for the next 6–7 days. A heavy rain warning has been issued for the Vidarbha region from August 28th to 30th.

Weather Update in Western India

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue in Gujarat until August 30th. A heavy rain warning has been issued for Konkan, Goa and Central Maharashtra from August 25th to 30th. Heavy rainfall is possible in coastal Karnataka between August 27th and 29th.
