Pakistan: India is preparing for a large-scale military exercise named 'Trishul' on its western borders from October 30 to November 10. This exercise will involve all three branches of the Indian armed forces: the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The drill will be conducted from Jaisalmer in Rajasthan to Sir Creek in Gujarat. India had already informed Pakistan about this exercise by issuing a 'NOTAM' (Notice To Air Missions).
Commotion in Pakistan, Airspace Closed
Following information about India's 'Trishul' military exercise, Pakistan closed its airspace. The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) altered air routes in Karachi and Lahore and issued instructions to ensure security. It is believed that Pakistan took this step in consideration of India's military drill.
30,000 Troops to Participate in Exercise
Approximately 30,000 soldiers will participate in the 'Trishul' military exercise. This drill aims to test the strategic capabilities, combat skills, and inter-service coordination of the Indian armed forces. Personnel from the Army, Air Force, and Navy will be involved in the exercise under various scenarios.
Strong Warning in Sir Creek Region

Prior to this exercise, India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited Sir Creek and met with troops. He warned Pakistan that any action in this region could change both history and geography. He clarified that this area is strategically important because one route from Sir Creek leads directly to Karachi.
Pakistan Navy's Preparations
The Chief of Pakistan Navy recently visited the Sir Creek region and reviewed his forces' preparations. In light of India's military exercise, Pakistan adopted additional security measures and decided to close its airspace. Furthermore, Pakistani authorities also issued information regarding new routes for air traffic.
Objective of the Military Exercise
The main objective of the 'Trishul' military exercise is to test India's military readiness and practice preparations on the borders. Under this, various combat strategies and disaster management drills will be conducted in border areas. This exercise will improve the rapid response capability, inter-service coordination, and technical skills of the Indian armed forces.
This exercise is expected to increase security concerns in Pakistan. International analysts view it as a step towards strengthening India's strategic capabilities. Meanwhile, Pakistan's actions have also raised fears of increasing regional tension.
Under the NOTAM issued by India, information about air activities in the region was provided. Pakistan expanded the scope of the NOTAM and made changes to its airspace. The PAA stated that these changes were made to ensure the safety and effective management of air traffic.
