Varanasi — Under Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0, the welcome ceremony for the second delegation from Tamil Nadu was held with great enthusiasm and respect at Banaras Railway Station.
Upon the delegation's arrival at the station, they were greeted with traditional Damaru drumming, flower showers, and chants of "Har Har Mahadev" and "Vanakkam Kashi." During the welcome ceremony, local leaders and officials welcomed the arriving guests by applying 'tilak' and adorning them with garlands.
On this occasion, several teachers, academicians, students, cultural representatives, and others were present, who praised Kashi's cultural warmth and the cordiality of its age-old ties. The enthusiasm among the guests was evident; they stated that the welcoming spirit and spiritual atmosphere they experienced in Kashi were unforgettable for them.
In the coming days, this delegation will visit the city's main holy sites and ghats, including Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Ganga Ghats, cultural sites, and more, which will strengthen the cultural, educational, and spiritual exchange between Kashi and Tamil cultures.
The objective of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 is to rekindle the centuries-old cultural, linguistic, and religious ties between Tamil Nadu and Kashi, and it appears that through this welcome ceremony, a b beginning has been made towards achieving this objective.
