Following this, Shinde indirectly took a dig at Uddhav Thackeray by saying that Ambadas Danve was not born with a silver spoon. He is the son of a bus driver and should have been in the same bus in the Lok Sabha. This statement was clearly a satire on political and social backgrounds.

Reacting to Eknath Shinde's statement, Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray launched a counterattack. He said that Ambadas Danve was completing his first term and was not retiring but would return. Thackeray said that he thanked the Chief Minister for giving them a worker like Ambadas, but would he thank them for taking their workers with him.
Uddhav Thackeray also made a significant statement about office and image. He said that positions come and go, but the image created in the hearts of the people is the most important. Thackeray, taking a jibe at Eknath Shinde, said that someone says that he was not born with a silver spoon, but he did not betray the plate.
