Following the acquittal of all accused in the Malegaon blast case, Fadnavis stated that the previous government fabricated a false narrative of 'Hindu terrorism,' which has now been exposed.
CM Fadnavis: The court's decision in the Malegaon blast case has once again stirred political circles. After the NIA's special court acquitted all seven accused in the case, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reacted sharply to it. He said that this decision has exposed the "Hindu terrorism" conspiracy that was concocted in 2008.
'Narrative Fabricated for Political Gain'
Devendra Fadnavis claimed that the then Congress-led UPA government coined terms like 'Hindu terrorism' and 'saffron terrorism' under vote bank politics. He said that all this was done at a time when Islamic terrorism was at its peak worldwide and many terrorist incidents were occurring in India as well.
'Hindu Organizations Deliberately Implicated'
Fadnavis alleged that the UPA government deliberately targeted Hindu organizations and religious leaders. He said that a delusion like 'Hindu terrorism' was spread to show balance. However, it repeatedly came to light during the investigation that there was no concrete evidence behind these allegations. He said, "This lie is coming out layer by layer."
Mehboob Mujawar's Shocking Claim
A major statement in this entire matter has also come from former ATS officer Mehboob Mujawar. He said that in 2008, he was instructed by then senior police officers to arrest RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Mujawar stated that he was investigating the Malegaon blast case and was given such orders that were illegal.
'Punishment for Disobeying False Orders'
Talking to the media, Mehboob Mujawar said, "I received an order to bring Mohan Bhagwat, but I did not do this wrong thing. As a result, I was punished, sent to jail and my image was tarnished." He also said that he had submitted whatever evidence he had in this case to the court. He also accused the investigating officer of personally implicating him.
'Truth of Fabricated Investigation Revealed'
After the court's decision, Mujawar said that it is a victory of truth. He described this entire process as a "fabricated investigation" and said that this entire conspiracy was hatched at the behest of the then ruling power. His point was that he only fulfilled his duties, but had to suffer punishment for refusing to obey illegal orders.
Questions Raised on Congress's Silence
Fadnavis also raised questions on the Congress party's silence. He said that now that the court has acquitted all seven accused, Congress should tell whether it still stands by the 'saffron terrorism' theory or considers it wrong.
