Mohan Bhagwat Emphasizes Social Harmony, Self-Reliance, and Dharma at RSS Event

Speaking at the RSS event '100 Years of the Sangh Journey - New Horizons' organized in Delhi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that the task of social harmony is certainly difficult, but it is mandatory to do it, there is no alternative.

New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat recently shared his views at the RSS event '100 Years of the Sangh Journey - New Horizons', stating that protecting Dharma (righteousness/duty) is essential for protecting society and the country. In his address, he emphasized the importance of social harmony, self-reliance, and 'Swadeshi' (indigenousness).

Bhagwat said that today the acceptance of the Sangh in society has increased and opposition has greatly decreased. "The edge of the opposition has diminished. The Sangh's thought is that if acceptance is received, it is not to enjoy comfort or rest. We have to continuously work to organize the entire Hindu society," he said.

Mohan Bhagwat Emphasized Social Harmony and the Importance of Dharma

Mohan Bhagwat suggested increasing friendship with people from disadvantaged sections to ensure social harmony. He said that there should be no discrimination of any kind in temples, water sources, and crematoriums. He said that Dharma is not limited to any religious process, but it guides balance and the middle path in society.

He further said, man has to uphold Dharma, sacrifice is necessary for this. By protecting Dharma, everyone is protected. Strife and fanaticism are increasing in the world, but Dharma shows us balance and the middle path.

RSS Chief Explained the Meaning of Self-Reliance

The RSS chief described self-reliance as the key to success in all fields. He said that the country should become self-reliant and for this, the use of indigenous products and services should be given priority. In his address, he said: Our country should be self-reliant. Self-reliance does not mean completely closing off outside things, but prioritizing what is made in our country.

It is necessary to promote the spirit of patriotism and social service at the family and society level. Bhagwat described small actions such as planting trees, teaching underprivileged children, or doing any service for society as a means of increasing connection with the country and society.

Sangh's Perspective

He also shed light on the basic spirit of Hindutva and Hindu ideology. Bhagwat said, "In short, Hindutva is in two words - truth and love. The world runs on this, not on deals or contracts." He said that the purpose of ancient India's tradition of knowledge is to teach everyone the knowledge of life and ensure happiness and well-being everywhere.

The RSS chief also emphasized the need for dialogue with neighboring countries for social and national coordination. He said that geographical boundaries have changed, but cultural and historical ties still exist. Bhagwat also drew attention to economic inequality and environmental crisis. He said that economic progress is sometimes proving harmful to the environment and the gap between rich and poor is increasing. He urged to raise awareness on this and find solutions.
