Moradabad: Two Youths Apprehended for Bovine Meat Smuggling, Viral Video Shows Apology

Two youths were apprehended in Bijna village, Moradabad, for smuggling bovine meat. One managed to escape, while the other was arrested. The police sent samples of the meat and remains for investigation, as the accused were seen apologizing on social media.

Moradabad: On Thursday night, a case of bovine meat smuggling came to light in Bijna village, falling under the Bhojpur police station area of Moradabad district, Uttar Pradesh. Activists of the Rashtriya Bajrang Dal caught two youths, Sachin and Vicky, red-handed while they were transporting meat. During interrogation, both attempted to flee by abandoning their bike and sacks, but the activists apprehended Sachin and informed the police.

Vicky exploited the darkness to escape. The police have taken Sachin into custody and sent him to jail. In the viral video, Sachin was seen apologizing with folded hands.

Bovine Meat Smuggling Case 

According to information, farmer Ankit Sharma, a resident of Bijna village, was out walking with his associate Anuj Thakur and other youths on the road leading to Bijna and Khanpur at night. During this time, they stopped a motorbike, which Vicky was driving, and Sachin was seated behind with two large sacks.

Upon checking the sacks, it was found that one contained bovine meat and the other held animal remains. Both accused attempted to flee by abandoning their bike and sacks, but the activists apprehended them and severely beat them. Subsequently, the police were informed.

Police Action and Investigation

The police called a team of veterinary doctors to the scene and secured samples of the meat and remains for investigation. Subsequently, the meat and remains were buried in a pit. The police have registered a case against Sachin for cow slaughter and meat smuggling.

The DSP and police officials stated that the search for the accused Vicky and his other associates is ongoing. A full investigation in this matter is underway, and the police have tightened security arrangements in the area.

Viral Video on Social Media

A video of the two youths caught at night went viral on social media. In the video, both accused are seen apologizing with folded hands. This incident has sparked deep outrage among local Hindu organizations. Many organizations are demanding strict action from the police and an end to smuggling.

Local residents state that it is extremely crucial for both the public and the police to remain vigilant to curb bovine smuggling. The viral video on social media also made it clear that local activism and awareness can help in apprehending criminals.
