A night guard at a cement warehouse in Muzaffarpur was found dead about 100 metres from the place where he had been sleeping, following his alleged murder. Police reached the site after receiving information about the body and began an investigation.

The warehouse where the incident took place reportedly belongs to industrialist Amar Pandey. Cement-related materials are stored there, and a night guard had been deployed to provide security during the night. According to preliminary information, the guard was present inside the warehouse premises at night. At some point, he was killed and his body was allegedly moved and left some distance from his sleeping place.

People learned about the guard’s body in the morning and informed the police. Police inspected the site and began examining the circumstances surrounding the death. The body was found approximately 100 metres from the guard’s sleeping place, raising questions about where the murder took place and who moved the body to the location where it was found.

The warehouse premises and surrounding area are central to the police investigation. Police are examining who was present at the premises when the incident occurred and are investigating whether the motive was robbery, an old dispute or another reason.

Police inspected the crime scene and began collecting available evidence. The body is also being sent for post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death and the manner in which the guard was killed. The post-mortem report is expected to provide information about whether the death resulted from specific injuries or another cause. Any material or potential evidence recovered from the site is being examined as part of the investigation.

CCTV footage from the warehouse may also be important to the investigation. If cameras are installed on the premises or nearby, police will examine the footage to identify people or vehicles entering or leaving the area during the night. Police are also questioning local residents to determine whether anyone noticed suspicious people or vehicles during the relevant period.

The killing has also raised questions about security arrangements at the warehouse. Police may examine how security was organised at the premises at the time of the incident, including arrangements for entry and exit and the conditions under which the guard was working alone at night.

The discovery of the body about 100 metres from the guard’s sleeping place is also being examined. If the murder occurred near the place where the guard was performing his duty, police will investigate the possibility that the body was subsequently moved. Any evidence found between the location where the guard slept and the place where his body was recovered could help establish the sequence of events.

Information about the deceased guard, his family and his acquaintances will also form part of the investigation. Police may examine how long he had been working at the warehouse, whether he had any dispute or enmity with anyone, whether he had spoken to anyone before the incident and whether he had reported any unusual activity during the night.

The reason for the killing has not been established so far. Police are investigating all possible aspects and will seek to determine who killed the guard and why on the basis of the post-mortem report, evidence collected from the scene, CCTV footage and statements from people questioned during the investigation.

The incident has also raised concern among local residents about security in industrial and warehouse areas at night. Police are continuing their investigation, while the motive for the killing and the identities of the accused remain to be established. The full sequence of events is expected to become clearer as the post-mortem report and technical evidence become available.
