NEET UG State Counselling 2025: An important update has emerged for students who have succeeded in the NEET UG 2025 examination. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the counseling schedule for State Quota seats. This counseling process will begin on July 30, 2025, and will be completed in a total of four phases. Furthermore, the academic session will commence on September 1, 2025.
Through this counseling, the admission process for MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc (Nursing) courses will be completed. Students who have qualified for the NEET UG examination can visit the official website of the MCC, mcc.nic.in, to view the complete counseling schedule.
State Quota Counseling Round-wise Schedule
The complete state-wise counseling schedule is provided below:
First Round
- Counseling Registration and Process: July 30 to August 6, 2025
- Last date for Joining: August 12, 2025
- Data Verification (State-wise): August 13 to 14, 2025
Second Round
- Counseling Registration and Process: August 19 to August 29, 2025
- Last date for Joining: September 4, 2025
- Data Verification (State-wise): September 5 to 6, 2025
Third Round
- Counseling Registration and Process: September 9 to 18, 2025
- Last date for Joining: September 23, 2025
- Data Verification (State-wise): September 24, 2025
Stray Vacancy Round
- Process for the final round: September 25 to 29, 2025
- Last date for Joining: October 3, 2025
Schedule for both AIQ (All India Quota) and State Quota are separate
The MCC has already released a separate schedule for counseling for AIQ seats, Deemed Universities, and Central Universities. AIQ counseling will also be conducted in four phases:
- First Round: July 21 to August 8, 2025
- Second Round: August 12 to September 1, 2025
- Third Round: September 3 to September 21, 2025
- Stray Vacancy Round: September 22 to 27, 2025

Academic Session to Begin
According to the schedule released by the MCC, the academic session for all courses will commence on September 1, 2025. Students who take admission in the first or second round will be required to report to the respective colleges within the stipulated time frame.
