President Droupadi Murmu to Address Uttarakhand Assembly, Participate in Silver Jubilee Celebrations

President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Dehradun on November 2 and stay overnight at Rashtrapati Niketan. The next day, on the morning of November 3, she will address a special session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly.

New Delhi: Uttarakhand is set to celebrate the Silver Jubilee (25th anniversary) of its formation, and on this historic occasion, President Droupadi Murmu will be on a three-day visit to the state. The President will participate in several important programs in Uttarakhand from November 2 to November 4. During this time, she will attend ceremonies held at various locations, including Haridwar, Dehradun, Nainital, and Kathgodam.

November 2: President's Visit to Begin from Haridwar

President Droupadi Murmu will begin her Uttarakhand tour on November 2 in Haridwar. At 11:25 AM, she will attend the convocation ceremony of Patanjali University as the Chief Guest. During the event, the President will award degrees and medals to students from across the country. Following this, the President will stay overnight at Rashtrapati Niketan in Dehradun. The President's arrival in Uttarakhand is considered a proud moment for the state.

On November 3, at 11:00 AM, President Droupadi Murmu will address a special session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. This session is being organized to mark the Silver Jubilee year of the state's formation. This will be the first occasion a President addresses this special session, making the day historic for the state.

In her address, President Murmu will share her thoughts on Uttarakhand's 25-year development journey, the state's achievements, and future prospects. All ministers and MLAs of the state, including the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, will be present at this session.

Nainital: Raj Bhavan Completes 125 Years, President to be Chief Guest

On the same day, at 5:30 PM, the President will attend a program organized at Raj Bhavan in Nainital. This event is being held to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Raj Bhavan. During this, the President will highlight the legacy of the historic Raj Bhavan and the importance of its preservation. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) and Chief Minister Dhami will also be present at the event.

On the third day of her visit, November 4, President Murmu will arrive at Kainchi Dham at 11:20 AM. She will offer prayers at the Neem Karoli Baba temple and participate in spiritual rituals there. This will be the President's first visit to Kainchi Dham, which has generated enthusiasm among local devotees. Following this, the President will attend the 20th convocation ceremony of Kumaun University, Nainital, as the Chief Guest.

The program will be held at 3:00 PM, where she will honor meritorious students and share her thoughts on providing new direction in the fields of education and research. This visit by the President is considered extremely prestigious for Uttarakhand. The state was formed on November 9, 2000, and is now celebrating its 25th anniversary. The state government is commemorating this occasion as "Rajat Jayanti Varsh" (Silver Jubilee Year) through special events throughout the year.
