Rajasthan Weather Update: Fluctuating Conditions, Western Disturbance to Bring More Rain

Rajasthan's weather is changing. While intense heat and scorching sun plague some areas, others find relief in rainfall. A new western disturbance will become active from June 2nd, potentially increasing rainfall and b winds over the next 3-4 days.

Rajasthan Weather: Rajasthan is experiencing fluctuating weather patterns. The scorching sun is causing discomfort in some areas, while sudden rainfall offers relief in others. A new cycle of heat and relief has begun with the start of June. On June 1st, 2025, Rajasthan witnessed diverse weather conditions across different regions. Temperatures soared above 44 degrees Celsius in some areas, while light rain provided respite to those suffering from the heatwave in others.

Changing Weather Due to Western Disturbance

Western disturbances are cited as the primary reason for the fluctuating weather in Rajasthan. According to the meteorological department, the influence of western disturbances over the past few days has led to b winds and light rain in several parts of the state. Drizzle was recorded in many districts on Saturday, while some areas experienced hot winds. The rainfall caused a slight drop in temperature in some places, but the heatwave's effects haven't completely subsided.

Rainfall and Heatwave Across the State

According to the meteorological department's report, Kishanganj (Baran) received the highest rainfall at 21 mm. Light rain was also reported in Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, and Bikaner in some areas. Meanwhile, temperatures in areas like Sri Ganganagar reached 44.2 degrees Celsius. Mount Abu recorded a minimum temperature of 18.4 degrees, offering some relief from the heat. Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 40.2 degrees Celsius, Kota 42.1 degrees, Jaisalmer 42.7 degrees, and Bikaner 42.5 degrees.

Weather Forecast for the Coming Days

The meteorological department has indicated that the frequency of b winds and rain might decrease slightly across many parts of Rajasthan today (Sunday). However, there is a possibility of scattered rain in some areas of Kota, Udaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, and Jaipur divisions in eastern Rajasthan. There is also a chance of rain in some parts of Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions. A new western disturbance is expected to become active from June 2nd, potentially increasing the intensity of b winds and rain from June 2nd to 4th. Winds with speeds of 50-60 kilometers per hour accompanied by heavy thunderstorms are anticipated during this period.

Heatwave Continues, Alert Issued

The heatwave continues to affect many parts of the state. The meteorological department has warned that hot winds and heatwave conditions may persist for the next few days. Temperatures in western and northern Rajasthan districts may reach 44 to 45 degrees Celsius. The meteorological department anticipates a slight drop in temperature over the next 3-4 days, but relief from the heatwave is unlikely.

Reasons for Rajasthan's Fluctuating Weather

The fluctuating weather in Rajasthan is largely attributed to the active western disturbances. During the summer, when western disturbances are active, they alter wind patterns. This leads to cloud formation in some areas while hot winds continue in others. This explains the simultaneous occurrence of intense sunshine in one area and rainfall in another within Rajasthan.

When Will the Heatwave Ease?

Regarding relief from the heatwave, the meteorological department suggests that some respite might be felt in the days leading up to the monsoon's arrival after the first week of June. However, the b winds and rain expected between June 2nd and 4th will temporarily lower temperatures in some areas. Complete relief, however, will require more time.
