South Western Railway 2025: The South Western Railway has released a notification for the recruitment of 904 apprentice positions for eligible youth. This opportunity is for candidates who wish to receive technical training in the railway and begin their careers. Candidates will be provided with one year of training in the relevant trade.
Who can apply
To be eligible for this recruitment, the candidate must have passed the 10th class examination from a recognized board with at least 50% marks. In addition, the candidate must have an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT.
Age Limit and Reservation
The minimum age for application is 15 years and the maximum age is 24 years. Relaxation in age will be given to the reserved categories as per the rules. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) will be given a relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age and Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates will be given a relaxation of 3 years.
Application Process
Interested candidates have to apply only through the online mode. To apply, you have to visit the official website of South Western Railway, www.rrchubli.in. While filling the form, all necessary documents like 10th mark sheet, ITI certificate, photo and signature have to be scanned and uploaded. General and OBC category candidates also have to deposit an application fee of ₹100, while SC/ST/PwD and women candidates have been exempted from the fee.
How the selection process will be
There will be no examination or interview in this recruitment process. Candidates will be selected entirely on the basis of merit. The merit list will be prepared on the average of marks obtained in 10th and ITI. If the marks of two or more candidates are the same, the older one will be given preference. In case the dates of birth are also the same, preference will be given to the one who passed 10th earlier.
Training Duration and Benefits
Selected candidates will be given training in the relevant trade for one year. Although this training does not guarantee a job, doing apprenticeship in the railway will definitely benefit as experience in government jobs.

Candidates can apply online by August 13, 2025. Applications will not be accepted after this date. Therefore, eligible candidates are advised to complete the application process in time.
