SSC CHSL 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced recruitment for 3131 posts for 12th-pass candidates under the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2025. This is an important opportunity for candidates interested in participating in this recruitment process, as the last date for application is set for July 18, 2025. Application Process and Important Dates

The online application process for the SSC CHSL 2025 exam has commenced on June 23, 2025. The last date to apply is July 18, 2025, valid until 11 PM. Online application fees can be paid by July 19, 2025. The dates for making corrections to the application form and paying the correction fee are scheduled from July 23 to July 24, 2025.

The preliminary examination, i.e., Tier-I, will be a computer-based examination, which will be conducted between September 8 and September 18, 2025. Following this, the Tier-II exam will be conducted between February and March 2026.

Total Number of Vacancies and Post Details

Approximately 3,131 posts will be filled through the SSC CHSL exam this year. However, the commission has clarified that this number is provisional and may be subject to change over time. Information about any increase in vacancies will be published on the SSC website. These posts will be filled in various central ministries, departments, and government offices.

Eligibility Criteria: Qualification and Age Limit

Regarding educational qualifications:

For Data Entry Operator (DEO)/DEO Grade 'A' posts in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, the Ministry of Culture, and SSC, candidates must have passed 12th standard with Mathematics as a subject from the Science stream.

For LDC (Lower Division Clerk), JSA (Junior Secretariat Assistant), and some DEO posts, passing the 12th standard from any stream is sufficient.

Age Limit:

The candidate's age should be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 27 years as of January 1, 2026. This means that only those young people who were born before January 2, 1999, and not after January 1, 2008, can apply. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per government rules.

Application Fee and Exemptions

General category candidates will have to pay an application fee of ₹100 for the SSC CHSL 2025 exam. However, female candidates, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), PwBD (PWD), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) are fully exempted from the application fee. The application fee can be paid online.

Exam Pattern and Selection Process

The SSC CHSL recruitment exam will be conducted in three stages:

  1. Tier-I (CBT): This will include multiple-choice questions, with sections on General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English.
  2. Tier-II (CBT): This will be the main examination, including data analysis, letter/essay writing, etc.
  3. Skill Test/Typing Test: Candidates will have to take a skill test for some posts.

Candidates who successfully pass these three stages will be appointed after document verification.
