According to information, this case is from the Bichhia police station area. The victim had been suffering from stomach pain for a long time and had approached a self-proclaimed tantric, Ram Bahadur Singh, for treatment. The accused, identifying himself as a "black magic specialist," claimed he would cure her illness without medicine. However, under the guise of treatment, he raped the victim.
Tantric's Atrocity Under Guise of Treatment
The young woman told the police that the tantric called her into a private room under the pretext of performing black magic rituals and then sexually assaulted her under the false promise of treatment. Due to fear and shame, the young woman remained silent for some time, but as her pain and mental distress grew, she eventually confided in her family.
Her family was shocked and immediately went to the Bichhia police station to file a complaint. The police registered the case, began searching for the accused, and arrested the tantric within a few hours.
Posing as a 'Baba' in Rewa, He Preyed on People
Police investigation revealed that the accused, Ram Bahadur Singh, is originally from Uttar Pradesh but had been residing in Rewa for some time, engaging in "black magic rituals" and "tantric worship." In nearby villages, he promoted himself as a 'Baba' (holy man) and lured sick people with false promises of treatment.
Police stated that several items related to black magic rituals and amulets were found in the accused's possession. Currently, the accused has been presented in court and sent to jail.
Police Investigation Unearths Past Cases
Rewa police are now investigating whether Ram Bahadur has preyed on any other women in the past. Officials stated that he had many "devotees" in the surrounding areas who believed in black magic rituals. Therefore, the police have appealed to the public that if anyone has experienced improper behavior from the accused, they should immediately inform the police station. DSP-level officers are monitoring this case to identify other potential victims.
