Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) expelled MLA and former minister Tej Pratap Yadav has made controversial remarks about the MLA from Maner. He alleged that the Maner MLA is not engaging with the public.
Patna: The recent dispute between Tej Pratap Yadav and his elder brother Virendra Yadav has made headlines in Bihar's political circles. Former minister and RJD expelled MLA Tej Pratap Yadav met the victim's family in Maner regarding a tragic incident. During this time, without naming anyone, he bly targeted his brother and the local MLA, accusing them of not working according to the public's expectations.
Tej Pratap's Controversial Statement Against Brother Virendra
Tej Pratap Yadav reached Maner to meet the victim's family in the case of the murder and alleged rape of a young girl. He also provided financial assistance to the family and demanded strict action against the culprits from the government. Tej Pratap said that such criminals should be given the death penalty to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future.
On this occasion, Tej Pratap Yadav targeted his brother and Maner MLA Virendra Yadav without naming him. He said, "The MLAs here are donkeys, who have not yet come to meet the victim's family. The public has elected them with their votes, but these people are not fulfilling their responsibility of standing with the public in their joys and sorrows."
This is not the first time Tej Pratap has targeted Virendra Yadav. Earlier, he had called him a 'bull' and accused him of being involved in his expulsion from the RJD.
Tej Pratap's Allegations Against the Public and the Party
Tej Pratap also said that the local MLA should fulfill his responsibility and come among the public to understand their issues. He emphasized that it is not enough to become an MLA just to get votes. It is the responsibility of every elected representative to work according to the public's expectations and to be involved in their joys and sorrows.
He said, "In a democracy, it is important to go among the public, listen to their problems, and try to solve them. But the MLAs here are not doing so yet. Because of this, discontent is spreading among the public."
