Long ago, there was a dense and beautiful forest. Various kinds of animals lived in that forest. The lion was their king. All the animals were afraid of his roar. In the same forest lived a large and powerful elephant. The elephant was calm and did not quarrel with anyone.
The Lion's Pride
The lion was very proud of his strength. He felt that no one in the entire forest was more powerful than him. He often frightened the smaller animals with his roar and his hunting habits. This habit gradually made him arrogant. All the other animals in the forest lived in fear of the lion. They would hide as soon as they heard his voice. The lion thought that scaring others was his true strength, but he did not understand that fear does not build relationships.
The Elephant's Calm Nature
The elephant was very large and powerful, but he did not harm anyone. He simply ate leaves from the trees, drank water, and lived peacefully. He was not proud of his strength. He believed that strength should not be used to hurt anyone. True strength is that which is used to help others and keep everyone safe.
The Beginning of the Conflict
The lion thought that the elephant being so big and b was a threat to his kingdom. He decided that he had to show everyone that he was the truly powerful one. So, he went to the elephant and angrily said that the forest was his and he was the king there. The elephant calmly replied that he had not come to become greater than anyone. He only wanted to live his life and not harm anyone. But the lion did not like this and challenged the elephant.
Wisdom Versus Strength
The lion told the elephant that if he was really b, he should fight him. The elephant calmly replied that fighting would not benefit anyone. He explained that strength should be used for good, not to defeat anyone. The lion laughed at his words, saying that he was scared. The elephant said nothing and quietly walked away. He knew that when the time came, his wisdom would prove to be his true strength.
The Lion in Trouble
One day, the lion was roaming in the forest in search of prey. Suddenly, his foot got caught in a large hunter's net. The more he tried to escape, the tighter the net became. His loud roar echoed throughout the forest. All the animals in the forest were frightened by his voice. They stood at a distance, but no one came near to help him. For the first time, the lion understood what loneliness meant despite his strength.
The Elephant's Help
When the elephant heard the lion's loud roar, he immediately ran in that direction. Arriving there, he saw that the lion was trapped in a b net and was exhausted from trying to get out. Without delay, the elephant broke the net with his trunk. The freed lion was astonished. He realized that the one he considered weak was the one who could save his life.
From this story, we learn that true strength lies not in scaring or defeating someone, but in helping them. Pride makes us lonely, while humility and understanding earn us the trust of others. The elephant's calm nature made him true and great. The lion also understood that the true meaning of strength is to keep others safe and to help when needed. That is true strength.
