Uttar Pradesh Minister OP Rajbhar Receives Death Threat, SBSP Demands Security

Uttar Pradesh Minister OP Rajbhar has received death threats via a Facebook post. The threat was issued from a page named 'Karni Sena Ballia.' The Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) has called it a serious matter, demanding Z+ security from the Home Minister and urging the UP government to take immediate action. The issue is gaining political momentum.

Op Rajbhar: The political scene in Uttar Pradesh was stirred when Om Prakash Rajbhar, the national president of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) and a cabinet minister in the Yogi government, received death threats through a Facebook post. This threat was publicly posted on the Facebook page 'Karni Sena Ballia,' which operates from Ballia district. The post explicitly stated, "I will shoot Om Prakash Rajbhar." Upon seeing this post, the SBSP considered it a very serious issue and wrote a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah, requesting Z+ security for OP Rajbhar.

Political Sensation Following the Threat

Arun Rajbhar, the National General Secretary and spokesperson of the SBSP, confirmed the incident and stated that it was not a normal occurrence. He pointed out that it not only questioned the security of a minister but also raised a significant question mark over the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh. According to Arun Rajbhar, the person behind the threat is a man named 'Kamlesh Singh,' who operates the Facebook page 'Karni Sena Ballia.' He has immediately demanded strict action from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, DGP Rajiv Krishna, Principal Secretary (Home), and ADG (Law and Order).

A History of Threats

Arun Rajbhar also clarified that this is not the first time OP Rajbhar has received such threats. He has previously been threatened through phone calls, messages, and letters on multiple occasions. The party has taken these incidents seriously each time, but this time, the threat has been openly made on social media, putting not only the minister's life at risk but also posing a significant challenge to the administration.

An Open Challenge to the Administration

Regarding this incident, the SBSP has questioned that if a state minister can be openly threatened on social media, then what guarantee is there for the safety of the general public? Party spokesperson Arun Rajbhar said that on one hand, the state government claims to be curbing crime, while on the other hand, even a minister is not safe. He warned that if no strict action is taken against the accused in time, any untoward incident could occur, for which the state administration would be responsible.

Complaints Being Filed in Police Stations

Following the incident, the party has initiated the process of submitting complaints at the Rasra police station in Ballia and the Hazratganj police station in Lucknow. The complaint includes the name of the accused, details of the Facebook page, and the language of the threat. Furthermore, the party also demands that the accused be arrested and jailed as soon as possible so that such individuals feel the fear of the law.

Letter to the Home Minister, Demand for Z+ Security

The SBSP has written a letter to the Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, demanding that OP Rajbhar be provided with Z+ security. The party states that OP Rajbhar not only raises the voice of the backward classes, the marginalized, and the poor but also often questions the government's policies on social issues. This is the reason why some anti-social elements try to target him. The party believes that normal security is no longer sufficient for him.

Political Reactions

Reactions from other opposition parties are also emerging regarding this incident. Some leaders have asked the government that if a minister is not safe, what will happen to the common citizens? At the same time, there is deep outrage among the workers and supporters of SBSP regarding this incident. Party supporters on social media have started hashtags like #SaveOPRajbhar and #ZPlusForRajbhar, demanding that the minister's security be ensured.
