US Senator Graham Accuses India, China, and Brazil of Aiding Russia's War Effort by Supplying Oil and Holding Them Responsible for the Deaths of Innocent Civilians.
America: US Senator Lindsey Graham has leveled serious accusations against India. He stated that India is strengthening Russia's war machinery by purchasing oil from Russia, which consequently leads to the deaths of innocent civilians. According to him, China and Brazil are also involved in this process, and these countries will have to face the consequences.
Graham posted on X (formerly Twitter), writing that India, China, Brazil, and other countries are indirectly responsible for the deaths of civilians in Ukraine. He questioned whether these countries fail to realize that innocent lives are being lost due to their purchases. He further added, "India is paying the price for supporting Putin, and others will soon realize it too."
Russia-Ukraine War Intensifies Again
The situation of the war between Russia and Ukraine is continuously worsening. Russia recently launched a massive air strike on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv. This attack resulted in the deaths of at least 21 people and injured 48 others. This attack is considered the largest in recent weeks.
The attack targeted the central area of Kyiv, causing damage to European Union diplomatic offices. Thousands of windows were shattered, and approximately 100 buildings were destroyed, including a shopping mall.
American Concern: Policies Supporting Russia
The United States has consistently accused India of indirectly funding the war for Russia. America alleges that India purchases crude oil from Russia, and Russia uses that money to manufacture weapons and kill Ukrainian civilians. Due to this accusation, the US has also imposed a 50% tariff on India. However, India has clarified its position multiple times and refuted the allegations.
Graham's Warning: Consequences Will Be Faced
Graham clarified that countries like India, China, and Brazil are supporting Russia's war machinery. He stated that this support is causing the deaths of innocent civilians, and such countries will have to face the consequences. He also wrote that this is a serious issue, and these countries should seriously reconsider their policies.
Russia's Massive Attack on Kyiv
On Thursday morning, Russia attacked Ukraine's capital, Kyiv. Russia launched 598 drones and 31 missiles in this attack. Most of the missiles and drones were aimed at the center of Kyiv.
Kyiv officials reported that 33 locations across 10 districts were directly hit or affected by debris. This attack resulted in civilian casualties and many injuries. This was one of the few occasions after the 2022 war that Russia directly attacked the center of Kyiv.
Areas Affected by the Attack
Several buildings were destroyed in this attack. EU offices, schools, government buildings, and a shopping mall were affected. Thousands of windows were shattered, and life in the capital was disrupted. Kyiv's air force stated that the attack spread across many parts of the city and the situation was critical.
Global Reaction to the Russia-Ukraine War
The war between Russia and Ukraine is causing increasing concern globally. The United States has specifically warned countries that are supporting the war by purchasing oil from Russia. Additionally, European countries have also condemned Russia's attacks. Graham states that the deaths of civilians in the war and the support Russia receives can affect the international image of these countries.
India's Position
India has repeatedly clarified its stance. The government maintains that the oil purchase process is legal and is not directly used in the war. India has rejected the US allegations and continues to safeguard its economic interests. However, the US asserts that the money received by Russia is impacting the war, and India is responsible for it.
Warning to China and Brazil
Graham also issued a warning to China and Brazil. He stated that if these countries continue to support Russia's war machinery, they too will have to face consequences. He wrote that this is a serious message not just for India but for many countries.
