Ayodhya Road Project Stalls: 15-Year Survey Leads to Unfinished Construction and Public Outcry

An Ayodhya road and drain project, surveyed for 15 years, has been left unfinished after foundation stone laying due to budget constraints. Residents face severe difficulties, prompting a complaint to the Chief Minister

Ayodhya has a road project whose survey took a full 15 years. Following this, the construction of a CC road and drain began on this surveyed route at an approximate cost of 31.90 lakh rupees, and its foundation stone was laid six months ago. However, the department that initiated the construction has now suddenly vanished, leaving the road unfinished.

Local residents state that years passed just to complete the full survey of the route. Finally, the survey was completed in May of this year, and subsequently, the city corporation began the construction of the CC road and drain. Leaving the construction incomplete after the foundation stone laying has now become a significant problem for the public: the path is unfinished, and the drain and road are not properly constructed, causing difficulties for commuting and daily life.

According to the city corporation and departmental officials, the work has been halted due to budget constraints and the priority of allocating funds to other state projects. However, citizens feel helpless, and a complaint regarding this matter has been registered on the Chief Minister Portal.

This incident clearly highlights that merely laying foundation stones and approving budgets is insufficient; it is equally crucial to complete construction work on time and ensure that responsible departments are proactive.
