British Royal Navy Hindu Priest: The British Royal Navy has appointed a Hindu priest for the first time. This honor has been bestowed upon Bhanu Attri, a resident of Solan district in Himachal Pradesh. Bhanu Attri will provide spiritual guidance to Navy officers based on the principles of Hinduism. On his achievement, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has congratulated him and said that this moment is a matter of pride for the entire state and country.
New Responsibility and Training
Before taking on his responsibilities, Bhanu Attri underwent six weeks of officer training. This included four weeks of sea survival exercises on the warship HMS Iron Duke and three weeks of training to perform his role as a military chaplain. On this occasion, he said that becoming the first Hindu priest in the Royal Navy is a matter of pride and honor for him.
CM Sukhu's Best Wishes
On Bhanu Attri's achievement, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu congratulated him by posting on social media. He wrote, "Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Bhanu Attri Ji, a resident of Garhkhl, on being selected as the Hindu Chaplain in the Royal Navy." The Chief Minister said that this achievement is inspiring for Himachal as well as the entire country.
Education and Early Life
Bhanu Attri was born in September 1986. He received his early education from Saraswati Niketan Senior Secondary School Nalwa. After that, he studied Shastri from Sanskrit College, Solan, and obtained a degree in Jyotishacharya from Delhi. In the year 2009, he moved to London and started serving there as a priest. Gradually, he established his identity in the Hindu community and has now become the first Hindu priest of the British Royal Navy.
Family's Contribution
Bhanu Attri's father, Ram Gopal Attri, is a retired Shastri teacher from the education department, and his mother, Leena Attri, is a homemaker. Bhanu Attri currently lives in London with his wife and children. His achievement is a matter of pride for his family and the state.
