BJP Leader Brij Bhushan Singh Praises Akhilesh Yadav, Calling Him Religious

BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh described SP chief Akhilesh Yadav as a religious person from the stage, saying, "He is a descendant of Lord Krishna, the opposition is not against religion but a political compulsion."

UP Politics: The political landscape of Uttar Pradesh witnessed a stir when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh openly praised Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav. At an event in Sant Kabir Nagar, he said from the stage that Akhilesh Yadav is a religious person and cannot be against religion. He also mentioned that he shouldn't have said this, but the truth had escaped his lips.

Called Akhilesh Yadav Religious

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said that Akhilesh Yadav is a person of religious inclination. His father and former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav himself was a devotee of Hanuman Ji. He further stated that Akhilesh Yadav has also constructed a grand temple. He is a descendant of Lord Krishna and cannot be anti-religion. Brij Bhushan said that if Akhilesh Yadav says anything against religion, it is only because of his political compulsions.

'I shouldn't have said this, but the truth escaped my lips'

The BJP leader further stated that he did not want to make this statement from the stage because it could be considered politically inappropriate. But since scholars were present at the event, he could not restrain himself. Brij Bhushan said, "I shouldn't have said this, but it is the truth and it came out of my mouth."

Also reacted to the incident in Etawah

In the same program, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh also reacted to the incident of assault on a storyteller in Etawah. He said that the right to speak and listen to religious matters is not limited to any one caste or class. Those who question this should learn from the lives of great personalities like Ved Vyas and Vidur. He also said that no person should insult any caste, but there should be no politics over religious traditions.

Don't make religion and caste a weapon of politics

Brij Bhushan clearly stated that religion and caste should not be made tools of politics. Calling the Etawah incident unfortunate, he said that attacking storytellers is condemnable and can create divisions in society.

Brij Bhushan's statement sparks discussion in politics

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh's statement comes at a time when there is a continuous war of words between the BJP and the Samajwadi Party regarding religious issues in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. Both parties have had public ideological differences regarding the construction of the Ram temple, the protection of religious sites, and religious events. In such a situation, the public praise of Akhilesh Yadav by a senior BJP leader has sparked discussion in political circles.

Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary also attended the event

Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary was also present at the event. He also expressed concern over casteism, communalism, and social discrimination. He said that there is a need to unite society in today's time, not to divide it. He also condemned the Etawah incident and said that it is unfortunate that politics is being done over religious events.
