A deeply tragic incident has come to light in the Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. A B.Tech student has committed suicide, sending shockwaves through the entire area. Before his death, the student recorded a video in which he accused his girlfriend of betrayal and accused her of framing his family in a false case to extort money.
The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Tushar Verma, a resident of Jevli village in the Mohammadpur Khala police station area. Tushar was a B.Tech student and was studying in the Lakhpedabagh area of the city. On Tuesday night, he had come home and went to sleep with his mother and sister after eating dinner. Late at night, around three o'clock, he recorded a 34-second video on his mobile phone, in which he made serious allegations against his girlfriend and her family.
Girlfriend Took 3 Lakhs
In the video, Tushar stated that his girlfriend had taken three lakh rupees from him and then betrayed him. Furthermore, he alleged that the girl's family had filed a false complaint against his family and misappropriated about 30 lakh rupees.
After recording the video, Tushar hanged himself in the courtyard of his house using his mother's saree. When the family members saw his body on Wednesday morning, there was an uproar in the house. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. After the post-mortem, Tushar was cremated.
The Story That Went From Love To Dispute
The family members said that Tushar's friendship was with the brother of a student studying in Intermediate. During this time, his contact with the girl increased, and a love affair developed between the two. The student lived in a rented house in Barabanki with her brother.
About a week ago, the girl's family filed a complaint with the police against Tushar, accusing him of harassing her. The police called both parties and reached a mutual agreement, after which the girl's father took lakhs of rupees from Tushar's family.
The family members say that despite the agreement, they were mentally harassed. Even a day before the incident, the girl had called the police on 112, which made Tushar even more distraught. He took his own life due to this mental pressure.
Family Makes Serious Allegations
Tushar's mother says that her son was unnecessarily framed in false accusations and was constantly pressured. She alleges that the girl and her family deliberately subjected him to mental harassment, due to which Tushar was forced to commit suicide.
The family has given a written complaint at the police station in this matter, demanding strict action against the accused. The police have taken possession of Tushar's mobile phone, video, and other evidence and have started an investigation.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police are thoroughly investigating all aspects. The investigation is also looking into how much money was taken by the girl's family and on what basis the agreement was reached.
Mourning Spreads in the Village
Since this incident, a wave of mourning has spread in Tushar's village, Jevli. According to neighbors and relatives, Tushar was good at studies and wanted to become an engineer. Everyone is shocked by his suicide.
Police officials say that all the facts related to the suicide are being investigated. If the allegations are found to be true, strict legal action will be taken against the culprits.
