Delhi MCD Result 2025: The results for the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) by-election 2025 are starting to come in. The election, held across 12 wards, witnessed a fierce contest between BJP, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Congress. According to initial trends, BJP has registered significant wins in Chandni Chowk and Shalimar Bagh-B. Notably, in the Shalimar Bagh-B ward, BJP's Anita Jain made history by defeating AAP's Babita Rana with a margin of 10,101 votes.
Historic Victory in Shalimar Bagh-B
The Shalimar Bagh-B ward was formerly held by CM Rekha Gupta, and the seat became vacant after she resigned from her position as MCD councilor. BJP's victory in this seat is considered significant because it was associated with Rekha Gupta's credibility. Anita Jain's win with such a large margin is seen as a setback for AAP. BJP's strategy and b support in this constituency secured a massive victory for the party.
Results for Chandni Chowk and Other Seats
BJP also opened its account with a victory in the Chandni Chowk seat. Additionally, the Aam Aadmi Party secured a win in Dakshinpuri. AAP registered a victory in the Mundka seat by a margin of 1577 votes, while Congress triumphed in Sangam Vihar 163 A. Thus, the initial results of the by-election have hinted at a shift in the political equations within the MCD.
