The long-standing wait for the Jaisalmer–Delhi Superfast Express is now coming to an end. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will inaugurate this new train service on Saturday. Regular operations will commence from December 1st, providing a significant boost to tourism, trade, and employment. This service will strengthen connectivity for Western Rajasthan.
Jaisalmer Delhi Superfast Train: The dream of fast rail connectivity between Jaisalmer and Delhi is now becoming a reality. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will launch the new Superfast Express from Jaisalmer station on Saturday. The inaugural special train will depart at 11:20 AM, while regular service will begin from Delhi on December 1st and from Jaisalmer on December 2nd. This train will pass through major cities such as Jodhpur, Ajmer, and Jaipur. This new service will enhance passenger convenience and bolster local economy along with tourism.
Prominent Leaders Present at the Inauguration Ceremony
Alongside Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, MP Ummedaram Beniwal, MLA Chhotu Singh Bhati, and former Union Minister Kailash Choudhary will be present at the inauguration event. This occasion is considered historic for Jaisalmer's development agenda.

This special train comprises a total of 16 coaches, ranging from First AC to General class.
Regular Superfast Service to Commence from December 1st
Under the regular service, the Delhi–Jaisalmer Superfast Express will run daily.
- Train Number 12249: Daily departure from Delhi
- Train Number 12250: Daily departure from Jaisalmer at 5:00 PM
