Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has formally allocated portfolios among members of his cabinet following the formation of the new state government. The allocation comes after the change in government and an internal understanding within the Congress leadership that shaped the new administrative structure.
Under the new portfolio distribution, Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has retained the Finance, Cabinet Affairs, Intelligence, and Personnel and Administrative Reforms departments. These ministries will remain under his direct supervision.
Congress leader Priyank Kharge has been assigned the Home Department, excluding Intelligence. He has also been given charge of Information Technology, Biotechnology, and E-Governance.
Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara has been entrusted with the Revenue and Sports departments.

K.H. Muniyappa — Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs
K.J. George — Energy and Tourism
M.B. Patil — Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development
Ramalinga Reddy — Major and Medium Irrigation
Satish Jarkiholi — Public Works Department (PWD)
Krishna Byre Gowda — Greater Bengaluru Development
U.T. Khader — Health and Family Welfare
Eshwar Khandre — Rural Development and Panchayat Raj
Byrathi Suresh — Transport
Sharan Prakash Patil — Medical Education and Skill Development
According to reports, some remaining key departments will continue to remain directly under Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. The allocation indicates that the Chief Minister will retain direct oversight of several important areas of the state administration.
