Patty resident Bilal Ahmed secured third place in a Hindi Day essay competition organised by the Indian Embassy in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Ahmed, who is pursuing medical studies in Kyrgyzstan, was presented with a certificate by Indian Ambassador Devendra Singh Yadav during an event held at the embassy on the occasion of Hindi Day.
The theme of the essay competition was “The Role of Youth in Building India’s Future.” Bilal Ahmed, who is currently studying medicine in Kyrgyzstan, participated in the competition and secured third place.
After receiving the award, Bilal Ahmed appealed to Indian youth to maintain their love for their mother tongue, Hindi. He also called on young people to come forward for the promotion and preservation of Hindi.
Bilal said that Indian youth should not forget their language and culture while living and studying abroad. According to him, Hindi is not only a medium of communication but also an important link connecting Indian culture, emotions and diversity.
News of Bilal Ahmed’s achievement was met with happiness among people in Patty. Nagar Panchayat Chairman Ashok Jaiswal, former chairman Juggi Lal Jaiswal, former principal Dr. Girish Chandra Shukla, Dr. Ram Kishore Mishra, Pramod Khandelwal and Ramchandra Jaiswal, among others, expressed happiness over his achievement.
