New Twist in Raja Raghuvanshi Murder Case: Sonam Uses Fellow Passenger's Phone, Types, then Deletes a Number; Nepal Escape Suspected. Two Suspicious Young Men Also Present at Station.
Sonam Raghuvanshi: The Raja Raghuvanshi murder case continues to unfold with new twists each day. A shocking revelation has emerged from Ujala Yadav, a student from Ghazipur, who claims she traveled with accused Sonam Raghuvanshi on a roadways bus from Varanasi to Ghazipur on the night of June 8th. During the journey, Sonam borrowed Ujala's mobile phone, typed a number, but deleted it without dialing. This incident is now a key part of the ongoing investigation.
Sonam's Destination: Gorakhpur, Not Ghazipur
Ujala Yadav stated that she first saw Sonam at Varanasi Cantt station with two young men. Sonam was inquiring about train schedules. Ujala informed her that a Gorakhpur train would arrive at 3:00 AM, but suggested she could take a roadways bus from the bus station. Sonam opted for the bus, deeming the wait for the train too long.
Sonam's Concealed Face and Unease on the Bus
While boarding the bus in Varanasi, Sonam had her face covered with a cloth. Ujala recounted that once the bus started, Sonam asked for water and washed her face, revealing her features. Initially, she sat next to an unknown young man, from whom she requested her phone, but he refused and changed his seat. Subsequently, Ujala sat next to Sonam.
Sonam's Unusual Behavior
Throughout the bus journey, Sonam repeatedly inquired about the distance to Gorakhpur and the estimated arrival time. Her anxiety was evident. Ujala also mentioned that when she was watching news reports and videos related to the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case on her phone, Sonam became nervous and asked her to stop. Immediately afterward, Sonam borrowed Ujala's phone, typed a number, deleted it without dialing, and returned the phone.
Ujala Recognizes Sonam the Following Day
Upon reaching her village, Nasirpur, the next morning, Ujala was shocked to see Sonam's picture on social media. She immediately informed the Nandganj police station in Ghazipur and then contacted Sachin Raghuvanshi, Raja Raghuvanshi's brother. Sachin shared pictures of four suspects, but Ujala confirmed that the two young men she saw with Sonam at the station were not among them.
Suspected Attempt to Escape to Nepal
It is believed that Sonam planned to escape to Nepal via Gorakhpur. She initially considered a train but chose the bus due to the longer travel time. Gorakhpur's proximity to the Nepal border makes crossing relatively easier, hence the suspicion of a planned escape to Nepal cannot be ignored.
The Mysterious Number
The biggest question remains: whose number did Sonam type on Ujala's phone? Was it an accomplice or conspirator? Was it a contact in Nepal? Investigating agencies are attempting to answer this question.
The Identity of the Two Young Men at the Station
According to Ujala's statement, Sonam was accompanied by two young men at the station. Their identities remain unknown. The question arises: were these individuals involved in the murder conspiracy, or were they assisting Sonam's escape?
Ujala Ready to Cooperate with Police
Ujala Yadav has clearly stated her willingness to fully cooperate with the police in this investigation. She is prepared to share everything she saw and experienced. Ujala desires justice for Raja Raghuvanshi and a strict punishment for the guilty.
