UP Board Reduces Class 10th & 12th Exam Centers for 2026 Board Exams

The UP Board has reduced the number of exam centers for the 2026 Class 10th & 12th exams to 7,448. This move aims to ensure stricter monitoring, transparency, and efficient resource utilization.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) has reduced the number of examination centers for the 2026 Class 10th and 12th (High School and Intermediate) board examinations. This time, the proposed number of centers is 7,448 — which is fewer than last year.

According to the board, the objective of reducing the number of centers is to ensure strict monitoring of examination conduct and maintain transparency in the examination process.

This change has led to adjustments in the allocation of centers among government, financially aided (aided), and other unaided schools in the state.

The board states that fewer centers will lead to efficient utilization of resources, strengthened supervision, and smoother conduct of the examination system.

Candidates are advised to review the new list issued by the board and, if they have any objection regarding a school or center — to register their objection according to the prescribed procedure.
