Vermicelli = 200 grams
Sugar = two cups
Cashews = one tablespoon
Pistachios = one tablespoon
Saffron = a pinch
Almonds = one tablespoon
Ghee = one tablespoon
Cardamom powder = 6 pieces
Recipe
To make Sheer Khurma, first, heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Once the ghee is hot, add the vermicelli and stir-fry on low heat for about 10 minutes, ensuring even cooking. When the vermicelli turns light brown, remove it from the heat and set aside. Now, heat the milk in a saucepan. Once the milk is hot, add cardamom and saffron, and stir while cooking.
Once the milk has reduced by half, add the sugar and cook until the sugar dissolves completely. After the sugar dissolves, add the vermicelli and half of the nuts to the milk and cook for 10 minutes before turning off the heat. Your Sheer Khurma is ready. Transfer it to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped nuts before serving.
