The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a notification for recruitment to 9900 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) positions. The online application process commenced on April 10, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official RRB website. Note that applications will only be accepted online; forms submitted through any other means will be invalid.
Complete Information on Educational Qualifications and Age Limit
Candidates must possess an ITI, Diploma, or Graduation degree in a relevant trade from a recognized institution. The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 30 years. However, age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories such as SC, ST, and OBC as per government regulations. Age will be calculated as of July 1, 2025.
Three-Stage Selection Process
Candidate selection will be based on a three-stage examination. The first stage involves CBT-1 (Computer-Based Test), the second stage is CBT-2, and the final stage is CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test). Candidates successful in all stages will be called for document verification. The final merit list will be prepared and appointments made only after document verification.
Application Fee and Important Instructions
The application fee is ₹500 for General, OBC, and EWS category candidates. For SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen candidates, the fee is ₹250. Applications submitted without the fee will be invalid.
