Australia concluded their ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 campaign with a nine-wicket victory over Oman in the final Group B match, despite both teams already being out of semifinal contention.

After winning the toss and electing to field, Australia applied early pressure as Xavier Bartlett dismissed Aamir Kaleem off the first ball of the innings. Oman were bowled out for 104 in 16.2 overs, failing to recover from early setbacks.

Leg-spinner Adam Zampa claimed four wickets for 21 runs in his four overs, removing key batters during the middle phase of the innings. Glenn Maxwell took two wickets, while Bartlett and Nathan Ellis also registered crucial breakthroughs. For Oman, Jatinder Singh and Hammad Mirza struck several boundaries, but regular wickets prevented the team from posting a higher total.

Chasing 105, Australia reached 108 for the loss of one wicket in 9.4 overs. Captain Mitchell Marsh remained unbeaten on 64 off 33 balls, hitting seven fours and four sixes. Travis Head scored 32 off 19 balls, and the pair added 93 runs for the second wicket.

Australia completed the chase in 9.4 overs, marking one of the fastest wins in tournament history while pursuing a target above 100 runs.
