Canada Plane Hijacking: NORAD Intercepts 'Messenger of Allah' in Vancouver

In Canada, a man named Shahir Kasim hijacked a plane, identifying himself as a 'messenger of Allah.' NORAD pursued him with an F-15 fighter jet, ensuring a safe landing. The accused faces terrorism-related charges. Security agencies have been alerted by the incident.

Vancouver: An unexpected and shocking incident at Vancouver Airport in Canada this past Tuesday has alerted all security agencies. A man, claiming to be a 'messenger of Allah,' hijacked a small aircraft. Following this serious incident, NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) took immediate action, pursuing him with an F-15 fighter jet and ultimately forcing him to make a safe landing.

Sequence of Events: How the Plane Was Seized

Shahir Kasim, 39, infiltrated a flight training center located at Victoria International Airport on Vancouver Island. There, he threatened an instructor and seized a small Cessna aircraft. He then flew approximately 64 kilometers towards Vancouver.

NORAD's Action in Air Security

As soon as the news of the plane hijacking was received, NORAD's West Coast Unit responded immediately. F-15 fighter jets were sent into alert mode, and the suspect aircraft was tracked. When the hijacker realized he was being intercepted, he safely landed the plane at Vancouver Airport.

Identification of the Hijacker and Questions About Mental State

As soon as Shahir Kasim was identified, investigations began on social media and among security agencies. According to police, Kasim identified himself as a 'messenger of Allah' and 'savior of humanity.' He claimed he had received a message from Allah through the 'angel Jibril' and had come to save mankind from the threat of 'global warming.'

Investigation from a Terrorism Angle

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has termed this incident a 'terrorism-motivated hijacking.' The accused faces serious charges under Canada's anti-terrorism laws. Investigation officer Tammy Lobb told the press that 'this incident is not a case of individual mental imbalance but rather an ideologically motivated act.'

Kasim's Past: Former Pilot, Environmental Activist, and 'Blogger'

Kasim's past is also quite interesting. He once worked for 'KD Air,' a now-defunct airline based in Vancouver. According to former owners of the airline, he was a very intelligent and hardworking pilot. But he later enrolled in medical school and became active in the field of environmental conservation. Kasim also ran a blog called 'Arctic News,' in which he issued serious warnings about climate change in the Arctic region and its potential impacts.

Information from Social Media

Shahir Kasim's Facebook profile revealed that he also undertook a cycling trip in 2012, in which he wanted to spread awareness against global warming across Canada. He had repeatedly warned that the Earth's condition had become extremely serious and that humans would have to take some major steps soon.

Government Response and Praise for Security Agencies

British Columbia Premier David Eby reacted to the incident, saying, "This was an extremely bizarre situation. Fortunately, it ended without any loss of life. I commend all the security personnel who handled the situation with courage and wisdom."
