BJP in Shivhar Suffers Another Major Blow. Rakesh Jha, Grandson of Former Minister Raghunath Jha, Joins RJD After Leaving the Party. This is BJP's Third Loss in 30 Days.
Bihar Politics Shift: Amidst preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar, political activity is intensifying. In the Shivhar district, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suffered another major setback. Rakesh Jha, the grandson of former Union Minister Pandit Raghunath Jha and son of former MLA Ajit Jha, has resigned from the BJP and joined the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
Rakesh Jha formally joined the RJD in the capital city of Patna, in the presence of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav. This development has stirred political discussions not only in Shivhar but throughout the state.
Three Major Leaders Have Left the BJP in One Month
This is the third major setback for the BJP in the past month. Prior to this, two prominent leaders from the Vaishya community, Radhakant Gupta alias Bachchu Ji and Ramadhar Sah, had also left the party. Radhakant Gupta joined the RJD, strengthening the Lalu-Tejashwi team, while Ramadhar Sah aligned with Jansuraj.
Now, with Rakesh Jha leaving the party, the Shivhar unit of the BJP appears to be weakening. Political analysts are seeing this as a serious signal for the BJP ahead of the assembly elections.
Rakesh Jha's Family Political History
Rakesh Jha comes from a political family. His grandfather, Pandit Raghunath Jha, was not only a long-time MLA from Shivhar but also served as a minister in the central government. Rakesh's father, Ajit Jha, has also been an MLA and has been active in various parties. Rakesh Jha himself has been associated with the BJP for a long time. His younger brother, Navneet Jha, is already active in the RJD.
Jansuraj's Activity Also Under Discussion
Amidst the ongoing tug-of-war between the RJD and the BJP, a third party is also emerging - Jansuraj. This political platform, led by Prashant Kishor, is continuously becoming more active in Bihar.
At a meeting held in Piprahi, Jansuraj leader Neeraj Singh said that the development of Bihar will not come from the promises of traditional parties but from groundwork. He also said that people are still migrating from Bihar in search of employment. Neeraj Singh claimed that Jansuraj will contest elections on all 243 seats and will become a new political alternative in Bihar.
Jansuraj's Announcements and Vision
Neeraj Singh said that increasing the old age pension to ₹1100 is just an election stunt. He also mentioned that Prashant Kishor plans to increase the old age pension to ₹2000, and for this, he has understood the situation of the people by going from village to village.
Meanwhile, at a public meeting held in Balha Bazar, Minapur, Jansuraj leaders also interacted with the people and shared a roadmap for development. At the meeting, chaired by Jai Ram Singh, it was clarified that Jansuraj will not only contest elections but also bring a long-term plan for Bihar.
