JJP has sent a notice to Karan Chautala. The accusation is that he tarnished the party president's image by falsely claiming Ajay Chautala's name was in the Meham incident FIR. The notice demands the removal of the video and a public apology.
Hisar: Political controversy has escalated once again in Haryana. INLD leader Karan Chautala recently claimed in a media interview, in the context of the Meham incident, that the name of JJP National President and former MP Dr. Ajay Singh Chautala was recorded in the FIR. The Meham incident occurred in 1990 and has since been considered a sensitive issue in the state's politics.
In the interview, Karan Chautala mentioned Ajay Chautala's name in the FIR, stating that his name was also included during the investigation. Following this, JJP deemed it a defamatory act against them and an attempt to tarnish the party president's image.
JJP Sends Legal Notice
The Jannayak Janta Party has initiated legal action by sending a notice to Karan Chautala. JJP State Spokesperson and Advocate Mandeep Bishnoi stated that Karan Chautala went beyond facts by claiming Ajay Chautala's name was in the FIR, which is completely false and baseless.

The notice demands that Karan Chautala issue an apology on internet platforms and remove the video containing the statement within 15 days. JJP asserts that such statements have hurt the sentiments of not only party workers but also ordinary citizens of the state.
Ajay Chautala's Name Was Not Recorded in the FIR
JJP has clarified that FIR number 76, dated March 1, 1990, pertaining to the Meham incident, was registered at Meham Police Station. In this FIR, the complainant Dharampal, a resident of Madina, District Rohtak, named Abhay Singh Chautala in his complaint. Ajay Chautala's name was not in this FIR.
JJP states that Karan Chautala's statement is spreading rumors, deviating from the facts and truth of the events. Considering this serious, the party has initiated legal action.
JJP claims that Karan Chautala's action has affected people's sentiments due to the distortion of actual facts of the Meham incident and the misinformation spread among the public. The party stated in the notice that the claims made in the video are entirely political and defamatory.
