A major accident was averted at the site of the Rattle power project in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir when a landslide occurred on Thursday. Five people trapped in a shed were safely rescued due to the prompt action of the district administration and the local team. All the injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Kishtwar Landslide News: A sudden landslide occurred on the shed of the Rattle power project in the Drabshala area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Five people were present in the shed at the time, and they were buried under the debris and stones. Upon receiving the information, the district administration immediately launched a relief and rescue operation and safely evacuated everyone. The injured in the accident are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.
Treatment of the injured continues in the hospital
Five people buried under the debris in the Kishtwar landslide incident were safely rescued, but three people were found to be seriously injured. They were immediately referred to the Government Medical College (GMC) hospital in Doda.
According to doctors, all the injured are out of danger and are under constant observation. They are currently being provided with necessary medical facilities, and the health department has assured that no deficiency will be left in their treatment.
Administration took command after the incident
The rescue operation was personally overseen by the Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, Pankaj Sharma. He reviewed the relief efforts from the spot and ensured that all trapped individuals were brought out safely.
Sharma stated that the administration is fully alert and is continuously prepared to deal with such disasters. He assured that relief and rescue operations in the district would be further strengthened.
Union Minister praised the efforts
Upon receiving information about the incident, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh immediately contacted Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Sharma and inquired about the relief work. He posted on the social media platform 'X' and praised the swift action of the district administration.
Dr. Singh said that saving five lives through immediate action even in such a serious situation demonstrates the administration's efficiency. He also assured that the injured would be provided with all necessary medical facilities and assistance.

The sudden landslide incident created an atmosphere of panic in the area. People were scared and anxious, but when the administration took immediate steps and rescued all the trapped individuals, a wave of relief swept through.
