New Delhi. A new chapter is set to begin in the leadership of the Delhi Police. Satish Golcha has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Delhi Police. Previously, SBK Singh had been holding the additional charge of Delhi Police Commissioner since July 31st. Golcha's appointment is expected to further strengthen the working methods and law and order in the police department.

Satish Golcha's Background and Experience

Satish Golcha is a 1992 batch IPS officer and belongs to the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre. He has also served as Special Commissioner Intelligence in Delhi Police. In addition, Golcha has served in important positions such as DCP, Joint Commissioner in Range, and Special Commissioner Law and Order.

Golcha was the Special CP Law and Order during the 2020 Delhi riots. He has also held important responsibilities as Director General of Police in Arunachal Pradesh. His appointment is expected to bring strength to the police department's experience and strategy.

SBK Singh Relieved of Responsibility

With the appointment of Satish Golcha, SBK Singh was relieved of the additional charge of Delhi Police Commissioner. SBK Singh had assumed this additional responsibility on July 31st, replacing Sanjay Arora. The change in the Delhi Police is expected to bring improvements in law and order and new steps towards crime control.
