Hyderabad: Significant anger and tension were observed among farmers in the Narayanpet-Kodangal region of Telangana regarding the land survey for the proposed elevated water project. Officials stated that this survey is merely a part of the project's preliminary process, and any final decision will be made only after consultation and consensus with the farmers.
During the protest, a woman suddenly fainted and collapsed. Villagers immediately admitted her to a nearby hospital. The woman's condition is reported to be critical, and she is under medical observation at the hospital. This incident has further escalated the growing tension between the government and local farmers concerning the project.
Farmers protested against the water project
Local farmers contend that the proposed water project poses a serious threat to their land and livelihoods. They have warned that if their demands are not met, they will intensify their agitation.
