Easy way to make Saffron Lassi
The refreshing taste of lassi is a summer delight. But have you tried the flavour of saffron? Saffron lassi is a popular drink in North India, particularly served as prasad during Janmashtami. Today, let's explore an easy recipe for saffron lassi.
Necessary ingredients
3 cups yogurt
1 cup milk
8 tablespoons sugar
8-10 saffron strands
1 tablespoon chopped pistachios
Recipe
Soak the saffron strands in one tablespoon of warm milk for about 15 minutes. Now, whisk the yogurt until smooth. Add milk and sugar to the yogurt and blend thoroughly in a mixer.
If the yogurt is too thick, add a little water.
Now, add the saffron milk and mix well.
Your saffron lassi is ready. Garnish with ice cubes and chopped pistachios before serving.
Note: For a truly chilled lassi, use ice cubes instead of water while blending in the mixer.
